FIRE STARTERS SO POWERFUL, YOU WON’T BELIEVE THEY DON’T HAVE ANY PETROCHEMICALS- No petrochemicals means better food and less nasty chemicals in your smoke! Our starters are made from coconuts, soy and eco-friendly, unbleached, uncoated brown kraft paper that gets its color directly from the wood pulp. We also never use paraffin wax as it is an oil byproduct. Unlike many of our competitors, you won’t see us labeling our product “food grade”, “natural” or “food safe” while still using petrochemicals. We want you to know exactly what we use so that you can know what’s in your fire.
OUR METAL STAPLES DISINTEGRATE INTO SOIL OVER TIME- Only metal staples can keep our starters rolled while they burn which is what enables their long burn times. Unfortunately, plant-based fasteners either release chemicals when they burn or they burn up too soon. Please do not remove the staples and don’t worry, our staples won’t last forever. Our non-galvanized, non-stainless steel staples begin rusting after the starter burns and will naturally disintegrate into soil over time (approximately 2-5 years).
PACKAGING AND BRAND CHANGE- PLEASE NOTE: Single unit pack comes with one fire starter in a premium pouch. All other pack sizes come with multiple fire starters per premium pouch.
