And then each of the integrated Survival Strands gives you an edge: We’ve included a single strand of our proprietary waxed jute for starting fires, a 25 lb. braided fishing line, and a super-strong, 110 lb. nano-aramid Kevlar thread that can be used for snares, repairing clothing and tarps, hanging food above a campfire, and many other emergency needs.
To extract the survival strands from the core of the heavy duty boot laces, simply cut the tips if the laces off, pull the innards out, melt the boot lace tips back together, and then re-use the empty boot laces as you would normal bootlaces.
The 54” Length version is perfect for hiking boots or work boots with 6x pairs of eyelets, while the longer 96” Length version can be used for Military-Style boots that have between 8x – 11x pairs of eyelets.
