They are flat and close-fitting, making them ideal for combining with hats or other items if the weather is particularly cold. Thin and warm. I bought this to wear under my ski helmet to keep my ears and forehead warm (that darn gap between the helmet and the goggles gives me a brain freeze sometimes).
