MAINTENANCE

Ironing: Iron fabrics to remove wrinkles or when needed for sewing. Set the temperature of iron below <248°F / 120°C for nylon fabric. [NOTE] Higher temperatures will melt and ruin nylon fabrics.

Washing: Wash Silnylon in cold or lukewarm water by hand. Softly brush it to remove stains. Mild detergent is recommended to be applied. Due to the inherent stainproof property of silicone coating, you could wash fabrics without any detergent.

Drying: Line dry fabrics in the shade, away from direct sunlight.

Sewing Tips: Silnylon has a smooth and slippery surface. The following tips will help you master the fabric. Let’s start MYOG and taste the fun of sewing!

Use Sharp/Microtex needles, #80 & #90 recommended.Walking foot is really helpful.Use good 100% polyester threads.Choose clips over pins to minimize holes.

Fabric Seam Sealer

We need to seal seams to prevent leakage from the seams of Silnylon tents. Due to the low surface energy of silicone, general tapes/sealers can’t adhere to Silnylon.Use Silnet Silicone seam sealer or other silicone use sealer to seal seams on Silnylon.
