Q1: Does the 100W/200W Folding Solar Panel generate the full 100W/200w of power under sunlight?

A1: In most cases, the folding solar panel can not deliver its full rated power. The reason is the rated Power given in specification is tested in the lab under a controlled standard testing condition (STC ). In real use under sunlight, the output will normally lower than the rated power and affected by following factors:

a. Sunlight Strength. The Sunlight strength will affect the power output directly, the stronger of the sunlight is, the more power will can get from solar panel.

b. Solar Panel Angle to Sunlight, we always suggest keep the solar panel 90 degrees to the sun in order to get the Maxium output.

c. Possible shadow or dusts on solar panel. The shadow by tree or dusts on solar panel surface may make the solar panel output lower, so we should try to keep solar panel surface clean and put in in the area without shadow.

d. Solar Panel Temperature. The higher of the temperature is, the lower of the output will be.

Q2: How many watts does the 100W/200W folding solar panel can generate under normal condition?

A2: The solar panel output may high depends on the weather conditon. Under good sunlight without shadow, the solar panel should can generate around 70% to 90% of the rated power according to our testing experience .That means a 100W folding solar panel may come with 70W to 90W output under good sunlight , and 200W folding solar panel may have 140W to 180W .

Q3: Why my electronic deviceS charging slow or not charge with the folding solar panel?

A3: The charging very slow or not charging may caused by following reasons:

a. The solar panel not produce or produce very small electricity due to Sunlight not strong enough or surface not clean or solar panel been coverd by shadow.

b. Cabling not correct may cause no charging, try to correct the cabling or reconnect again may can fix this problem.

c. Device been protected , and stopped the charging , the reason may because the device over heating under sun light , or the device setting not allowed charging by our solar panel voltage .

Q4: Does the rain will damage the folding solar panel?

A4: The KWAFOO 100W /200W Folding Solar Panel are IP65 water proof, so the rain will not damage the solar panel. But meanwhile, the Digital USB output box inside the pocket is not water proof, so we don’t suggest to put the solar panel under rain or in the water and we should ensure the USB output box remain in dry condition before every time use.

Q5: Could I connect 2pcs of folding solar panel in parallel or series for charging?

A5: Yes, if you purchased 2pcs the KWAFOO 100W /200W folding solar panel, you can connect them in series or parallel to charge the devices.

Series connection method: connect the male MC4 connect from 1 panel to the other panel Female MC4 connector.

Parallel connection method: connect the 2 folding panels Males MC4 connector together, and connect the 2 Females MC4 connector on the 2 panels together. a Y MC4 connector (not included in our folding panel ) will be helpful in parallel connection for 2 folding solar panel.
