They can be purchased plain or with en engraving of an early American eagle design. The 1700 tinder box was designed to hold fire starting supplies but can be used for a number of other items. The 1700 tinder box will hold the TDC “U” snapped striker but not the “C” shaped striker. They have traditionally been carried by trappers, traders, soldiers and frontiersmen. Measures 3 5/8″ x 2 1/4″ x 1″. Proudly made in America by skilled craftsmen.
