How to Connect BeoYjVon 100W Foldable Solar Panel in Parallel and Series

A single 100W solar panel is great for small and medium devices charging. With a professional parallel or series connector, you can also parallel or series 2 BeoYjVon 100W solar panels to get more output power to recharge the large-capacity power stations faster (only solar panels of the same model can be used in parallel or series)

The solar panel is equipped with PV-rated cables. The Positive connector is a male connector and the negative connector is a female connector, these wires by themselves are rated for series connections.

When the solar panels are connected in series (+ connected to -, + connected to -), the voltage is added;

when the solar panels are connected in parallel (+ connected to +,-connected to -), the current is added.

Note: Parallel connection, it needs to purchase extra Y connectors (Negative to Negative, Positive to Positive).

When considering series or parallel connections, two solar panels must be of the same model(100W and 100W, 200W and 200W), solar panels of different brands can’t use in series or parallel. If it is not the same, it may lead to product failure.

FAQ

Q1: Why can My 100w Solar Panel Not Provide 100W Output Power?

A: Rated 100W is the optimal test result under ideal conditions. The values in sunlight will be slightly less than 100w because the output power is affected by many factors, such as temperature/sunlight intensity/panel angle with sunlight. There are also efficiency losses in charging mobile power stations. To get power as higher as possible, please use it under stronger sunlight / adjust the panel’s right angle to the sun / avoid shadow.

Q2: Do I Need a Controller for Charging the Solar Power Station?

A: No, the portable power station generally has a built-in MPPT function, so there is no need to connect the controller early in the charging process.

Q3：What do I Need to Pay Attention to When Connecting Solar Panels?

A: When used with the controller, please connect the controller to the battery first, and then in the connection of solar panels.

The portable solar panel is not a device to store electrical energy. It is only used to convert sunlight directly into electricity and output it to your devices immediately.

The surface of the solar panel is waterproof while the junction port is not waterproof. Please do NOT immerse the folding panel solar in the water!

It’s NOT recommended to use portable solar panels in rainy and humid environments, because only under sufficient sunlight can the solar panel’s supply power to your devices quickly.

Q4: How to Clean the Solar Panel Surface?

A: Please use a soft cloth to remove the dust and dirt on the surface. Please put it in the clean,dry,cool environment to dissipate heat after using.
